Empowering Every Learner

About Us

Discover Our Educational Philosophy and Approach

The inception of Homeschool Learning Lab was driven by personal experiences and a recognition of the gaps present in traditional education systems. Founders, inspired by their work with children of diverse abilities, teamed up with professionals from Gold Coast Therapy Hub to provide an integrated learning experience. Through careful planning and a commitment to individualized education, the Lab was established to empower children and families to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We have proudly served a diverse range of clients, including children with learning differences, developmental needs, and those seeking NDIS-funded support. Our programs cater to families looking for an alternative to mainstream education, fostering a calm and structured environment for every learner. By prioritizing the unique strengths of each child, we ensure that all our clients receive the tailored support they deserve.

A Different Approach to Learning

HS Learning Lab isn’t a school—and we’re not trying to recreate one.
We understand that many families choose homeschooling because traditional classrooms don’t suit every child. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, flexible environment where children feel safe, supported and accepted while engaging in meaningful learning experiences alongside other homeschoolers.
Our sessions encourage curiosity, creativity, independence and connection, allowing children to learn in ways that suit their individual strengths and interests.

Personalised Learning

Every child is unique, and we celebrate that.
Our team has extensive experience working with children who have a wide variety of learning styles, developmental differences and support needs.
Before your child joins one of our groups, we offer a free initial consultation to get to know your family, understand your child’s strengths and identify any support they may need to participate successfully.
Where appropriate, additional 1:1 support can be arranged to help children feel confident and included within the group.

Why HS Learning Lab?

HS Learning Lab was created to meet the growing need for a supportive homeschooling drop-off program where children can build friendships, gain confidence and enjoy meaningful learning experiences in a safe, welcoming environment.
As a sister business to GC Therapy Hub, we bring over four years of experience supporting autistic children and children with additional needs across the Gold Coast. We’ve seen firsthand how the right environment can help children thrive, and we’re proud to extend that same supportive approach to the wider homeschooling community.

Our Vision

Our vision is to help children thrive by creating an environment where every child is supported according to their individual needs.
We strive to nurture confidence, curiosity and resilience while encouraging learning through engagement, creativity, collaboration and genuine social connection within the Gold Coast homeschooling community.

Experienced Learning Facilitators

Our sessions are led by a caring team of experienced learning facilitators with diverse professional backgrounds and extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of learning styles and additional needs.
Although each facilitator brings unique skills and experience, we all share the same philosophy—to create a positive environment where every child feels valued, respected and encouraged to reach their potential.
To provide quality support, we will initially operate with an adult-to-student ratio of approximately 2:15, with additional facilitators joining the team as required.
For children who need extra assistance to participate confidently within a group setting, 1:1 support is also available.

A Place Where Children Belong

At HS Learning Lab, relationships come first.
We believe children learn best when they feel connected to the people around them. Our aim is to help every child build meaningful friendships with their peers while developing trusting relationships with our facilitators.
We work hard to create a safe, inclusive space where children feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions, exploring new interests and enjoying the learning process.
